Introduction to NSW subsidised Training Program Smart and Skilled

Eligibility
- Minimum 15 years of age or older.
- Live and/or work in NSW.
- No longer at school in secondary education
- Australian citizen, permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder (or partner of), New Zealand citizen.

The table below sets out the list of eligible courses available under smart and skilled programs

Target students are either current pursuing or want to pursue a career in a wide variety of care
setting such as Nursing Homes, Residential Care Facilities, Disability Care Facilities,
Rehabilitation
Services, Retirement Villages, Community Healthcare Services or Hospitals.

HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance | 26 | 120 |
Students aspiring career as an AINs (Assistance in Nursing) in Hospitals and who wants to pursue
further studies in Nursing at a Diploma or Bachelor’s level.
After successful completion of courses, NTA's Graduates may find roles in Hospital or other
Acute
care
settings in a wide range of roles.

Target students want to pursue a career in a facility such as Aged Care Facilities, Nursing
Home,
Hostel, Residential Care Facility, Retirement Village, Community Health Care Centre and other
Ageing
support related services.

Target students want to pursue a career in a facility such as a Disability Homes, Nursing Home,
Hostel, Residential Care Facility, Community Health Care Centre and other Disability related
services.

Target students want to pursue a career in a facility such as a respite care, residential
services,
rehabilitation programs, clinical settings, home based outreach programs or supporting people in
employment.

Prospective students pursuing or aspiring a career in in design, implementation and evaluation of leisure, health activities and programs for clients in facilities such as a Nursing Home, Hostel, Residential Care Facility, Disability Facility, and Community Health Care Centre. Graduates may seek employment in the following jobs:

Smart and skilled concession fees may be available if you receive Centrelink Benefits. The list of eligible benefits include but is not limited to JobSeeker Payment, Disability Support Pension, Age Pension, Austudy, Parenting Payment (Single), Carer Payment, Family Tax Benefit Part A (maximum rate), Farm Household Allowance, Special Benefit, Veterans' Affairs Payments Veterans' Children Education Scheme, Widow Allowance, Youth Allowance. Concession Fees would apply. Refer to this link for further details." |
